Member COVID FAQ's

Here is what we know as of Thursday 28th of May…

When are you opening?


We are awaiting answers from QLD Health regarding numbers of persons allowed to use the facility at one time and further regulations. Watch this space on Monday 1st June as we will announce how we will roll out Stage 2 operations.


Will the whole gym be open?

When we re-open officially we would like to have all areas of our club available, but if restrictions are in place that prevent us from opening certain areas we will work within those restrictions. 


Will the Creche reopen? 

We very much hope this service will not be affected. We have not seen anything to indicate the Creche will be affected but we will follow any guidelines set out to protect our littlest members. 


Will the gym be open 24hrs? 

Opening 24 hrs for our members is what we are aiming for, but maintaining cleanliness and controlling numbers are important parts of the recovery so we are working on what that will look like for us. We do not have an official statement on this at this time from the government or Fitness Australia as whether this will be included in initial reopening stages.


How will you keep the gym safe? 

We have launched our Code of Cooperation, this code outlines what we are doing and what we expect from our members. You can find the code here:

When do payments start? 

We will be lifting the suspensions on members accounts when we have a firm date to re-open, billing will commence on the day we start trading officially with doors open to all. Members that do not feel comfortable returning to the facility will be able to suspend their account again on request. 

All members will be notified via email before billing recommences. 


Can new members get started on a discounted rate?

We can assure you that as a member of a World Gym club you will be the first to hear about when we are re-opening. We will be predominantly communicating via email so please advise your home club if your email has changed. Please bear with us as we navigate the directions from the Government, our staff are doing their best to help with your questions but we don’t have all the answers.
