Group Fitness Classes

World Gym offers the most dynamic group fitness classes in town. From cardio to strength training, a class environment can provide a social construct with like-minded people who have similar fitness goals. We are proud to boast our cutting-edge classes and the ability to offer our members many group fitness options that can really help with motivation! From beginners to advanced athletes, we have options for everybody.

Below are our class descriptions for each class on our current schedule:

A cardio and strength interval training class. We circuit strength exercise that tone the lower body, upper body, and core with calorie burning cardio circuits on a trampoline. Principles: Posture, Low Impact and Improve body awareness

• R.I.P.P.E.D
A fitness program that encompasses all aspects of physical fitness, R.I.P.P.E.D, is an acronym for: Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance, Diet.  The first five components are taught in 50 -55 minutes class format, while the last component, Diet, can be found in the website at

• HIIT & STRENGHT- HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)
HIIT featurES quick time-based movements with rest intervals. Your metabolism will be elevated & you will be burning fat long after you are done working out! Variety of equipment will be used including Steps & gliders. The second half of class will focus on strength using free weights as well as body. Let’s trick your body into resetting its metabolism weather your trying to lose weight or build definition & muscle this class is for you.

Gentle beginner yoga is a class for all ages. This class incorporates aspects of Kriya yoga, Hatha yoga, Vinyassa yoga and Yin yoga along with meditation techniques that will help you live a more stress free life.

We also have an option that includes low impact activity and uses only gravity as resistance. Certain yoga positions can be safely used to strengthen and balance all parts of the body, promoting blood flow and keeping the body systems healthy. This class is designed to tone, strengthen, increase flexibility and align the body.

TBS leaves you wonderfully spent. Using a variety of equipment, including weights, BOSU, sports steps, bodyweight, Reebok steps, and mats, no body part is left behind in this mega calorie-burning, muscle pumping, cardiovascular workout.

The TaeBo exercise program was created to challenge you on many levels. The rewards will be felt from the inside out. TaeBo combines the aspects of boxing and martial arts with the rhythm of dance. You will have fun while improving your strength, agility and cardiovascular health. TaeBo is for every fitness level, it can get you started or take you to the next level.

This is a low impact class designed to give a full body workout. This class is for strength and building cardiovascular. Whether your over age 50 or just beginning your fitness journey this class is a great place to be.

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing and a silver sneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.

Muscle incorporates athletic-based exercises that improve upper body conditioning, which are groups of exercises that focus on different muscle groups. The focus of this class is on toning muscles and building overall strength.

Get ready to move through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered so you can perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level.

• BLT (Butt, Legs and Thighs)
Get ready to tone and tighten your lower body! This class concentrates on your butt, legs and thighs using weights, bands, balls and steps.

Get your heart rate up and start burning fat while working major muscle groups. This class uses various exercises to train and improve your cardiovascular endurance.

With a focus on the entire torso and arms, this class is not only a great upper body builder, but also a fantastic, overall, cardiovascular calorie burner. Short bouts of stepping choreography are interspersed throughout the hour to give the upper body bits of rests from the fatiguing strength work. This is a non-stop class that leaves you sweaty and exhilarated.
