Ralph A. Instructor
Ralph Anthony Mateo is a multi champion bodybuilder with 18 years competition experience and 9 years in the fitness industry as a qualified fitness instructor.
Ralph's passion for fitness has led him to further accreditation in exercise science including Functional Movement, REBA, Group Exercise and Choreography, Programming for older adults 55 years and over.
Additional education include Level 1 Powerlifting Instructor with Powerlifting Australia, Muscle Integration / Isolation with Dr. Jordan Shallows and Ben Pakulski, Hypertrophy Training with John Meadows and Eugene Teo.
Ralph's RAMFIT circuit is a combination of functional movement, resistance training and metabolic conditioning, all in one session.
After 15 years as Head physiotherapist for the Manly Sea Eagles (2003-2018) treating, managing and rehabilitating the top 30 players as well as overseeing the junior physiotherapy programme and physiotherapists I decided to change paths and return to private practice, setting up my own business Sports and Spines.
Besides my physiotherapy degree I have a Masters in Exercise Science from the University of Texas at Austin and level ASCA (Australian Strength and Conditioning Association) level 2 certificate.
Prior to working with the Sea Eagles I managed a back rehabilitation centre in New Jersey.
My approach is one of manual therapy (including Dry Needling) and exercise rehabilitation.
