What to expect from one of my classes: If you come to Grit “I hope you like burpees, let’s play!!” You’ll be challenged to step outside of your comfort zone in a supportive and fun environment. You’ll walk out feeling like you gave it your all and there was nothing left in the tank! With Bodypump, it’s a lil more chill. It’s about enjoying and feeling the amazing music while lifting light weights, and lots of reps! We’ll hit every muscle group in your body and you’ll feel great when you walk out! Above all it’s about having fun and achieving things those little “wins” and supporting each other along the way!

What to expect from my classes: RPM is a group indoor cycling workout, you control the intensity while I encourage you to push yourselves to reach your ultimate goal. It’s fun, low impact and burns loads of calories! With great music we take on hills, power climbs, sprints and flat riding. RPM is fantastic for toning, building strength, increasing fitness and overall health. We do it together…. It’s a journey, not a race! See you on the bike :-)

Have always been very involved in group fitness from late 1980’s to present. Starting back in the Jazzercise days (yes, I’m over 55 now). My interest in becoming a group fitness instructor was while working in Health Promotion. It brings people together from all walks of life. In the group fitness room we can leave our worries at the door and allow the tension to be released via exercise. Let the endorphins kick in. Allow the body to be pushed physically and mentally & to become stronger physically & mentally. It’s a place where you can make great friendships, it’s a place where you can feel welcomed and safe even if you are new to exercise. Group fitness gives you options from beginners to experienced. As a group fitness instructor looking out at the participants – is so inspiring to see everyone moving together in sync and getting stronger from week to week an seeing the physical changes. It’s humbling when you inspire someone enough that they too want to become a group fitness instructor or when you can see qualities in a person who would make a great instructor. I always have done both participated and instructed. I think it’s important.

I started training when I was 17 and fell in love with the way I felt during and after my workouts. I took my time to learn how to do things the right and safe way and want to teach everyone else how to enjoy their workouts and do them safely. I am studying with the FTI to keep growing and widen my skill set so I have more to offer my clients more to suit their own personal goals . I want every session to be new and fun and at the same time fully beneficial to each individual. We can train one on one, with a friend, in a small group or all of the above, it’s completely up to you!
